Khuuma Ama 

Khuumba Ama hails from the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor of Savannah, Georgia. She now resides in Harlem, USA. She is a full time multi-dimensional visual artist, poet/storyteller, educator and reiki inspirational therapist. Khuumba uses various tools, technics and materials to tell stories with her art, such as, fabric, felting, photography, painting, beads, leaves/flowers, found objects, ink, clay, etc. She has traveled and exhibited, as well as preformed nationally and internationally. Ms. Ama is honored to have left her mark in West Africa and throughout the Caribbean. Khuumba is currently the President of National Conference of Artists (NCA), New York Chapter. As a Teaching Artist, her classes are designed for elevating “Life Skills Through Art”
