Jide Ojo came to the United States of America from Nigeria in 1972 to study art. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1974 and Master of Science in Communications Design in 1979 at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
Finally, Jide Ojo completed his education with a Ph. D. at Columbia University in 1984.
After 27 years of teaching both in colleges and the public school systems, Jide Ojo is a retired teacher and a full time artist.
Jide Ojo has a very deep interest in forging his artistic works from common and familiar everyday object.
